Why Invest In Design, Antiques and Fine Art?

Adding a name to a work of art to increase its value isn't a new idea, We are taking it from the canvas and applying it to other mediums in the art world, allowing you to invest in antiques without fear.

Investing in antiques isn't a new idea we are simply re-inforcing an already viable investment by revealing the people behind the piece.

The architects and designers represented in our stock have played their part in designing the world we live in today. Their influence has been felt by all, whether consciously or not.

Museums across the world celebrate this by collecting and displaying the best examples of objects by architects and designers, ensuring they are given the time in the spotlight they deserve. Their collecting is their investment. Our useful links page lists international Museums that have related items in their collections.

Take for instance the Judge's armchair by G. E. Street in our current stock, other chairs from the same Law Courts commission reside in the Metropoliton Museum in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

We offer you the chance to invest in well documented pieces of furniture and works of art. We can offer a more favourable long term investment by not having the eye watering overheads often experienced in the city, what's more, our stock is accompanied by fully referenced information sheets outlining our attributions and justifying your investment.

These information sheets can be emailed to you without any obligation for you to invest, where possible we can show other examples on display in museums across the world.

Whether you require a single item or wish to add to an existing collection of antiques, if you have £1000 or £100,000 to invest, wouldn't you prefer to use and talk about your investment instead of merely looking at the numbers on a page?

After all they are works of art.

The objects for sale in our stock fall into the following design movements or schools:

Aesthetic Movement (from Edward W. Godwin to Dr Christopher Dresser etc.)

Gothic Revival or Reformed Gothic (from A. W. N Pugin to George E. Street etc.)
Modernist (from Walter Gropius to Gerald Summers etc.)

Not all designers fall neatly into a catagory as Owen Jones, William Burges or Edwin Lutyens are quite simply just themselves.
